As the Terminal Director, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the terminal and a tractor fleet of more than 70 owner operators. You will monitor all site activity to terminal P&L, safety, recruiting, security, driver training and professional development of staff members and customer service. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

• Supervise contracted drivers and terminal staff

• Manage the terminal P&L

• Review the delivery schedule and make necessary modification to ensure customer’s requirements are met and that the terminal provides excellent customer service

• Monitor procedures with an eye for continuous improvement of the effectiveness of our delivery service and shares best practices with colleagues

• Recruit and retain qualified drivers and employees to meet company objectives

• Monitor all corporate safety and security requirements plus applicable State & Federal laws and implement changes as needed to remain compliant

• Participate in the training and professional development of assigned staff through recommendation of ADP courses

• Ensure staff attends required training courses (hazmat, CPR/AED)

• Approve time and attendance data for colleagues

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 4 or more years of transportation or terminal management experience

• Experience delivering P&L responsibilities in transportation industry

• Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Logistics
